Our beach swims are designed to teach the technical swim skills required for open water through sensible workouts and education. You will be inspired, safe, and performance prepared for your triathlon swim.
Coached by: Expert triathlon swim coach and founder of TOWER 26, Gerry Rodrigues, and the TOWER 26 coaching staff.
Coached Session Format:
6:00 am: Prompt start with an 8-10 min core warm-up jog (wetsuits at waist).
6:10 – 6:20 am: Safety talk, beach conditions, educational tips, workout description.
6:20 am: 10-minute swim warm-up, mass group.
6:30 am: Swim circuits begin with mass group segmented into 4-5 sub-groups based on ability.
You will receive:
Coached and supervised open water swim training.
Training in skills required for open water.
Education on open water swim demands for triathlon swimming.
Your open water swim skills will improve.
You will be swim fresh to your bike.
Your open water swim confidence will be secured.
2020 registration will open in April.
Must be able to swim 1 mile continuously under 36 minutes. 1,000 yards under 24 minutes. We recommend you swim additional weekly pool-training sessions. If you have not previously attending our beach program, please contact us to schedule a safety talk and swim checkout prior to attending.
